Mostly everyone is familiar with the story,"The Little Red Hen". This story puts a twist on the traditional story. I chose this book being that it is new to me and my students. My students love when I change my voice as I narrate what the hen is saying. We absolute love it. My students with very limited speech are starting to repeat parts of the book as we read. They are actual comprehending what they have heard and gaining a joy to read and be read to. I love to hear one of my students, "Not I said the cat, not I said the duck!”
